Ich habe seit lang die Natur in Schweden fotografiert.  Nun bin ich aber in einem Teil von Deutschland der voll mit Leute, Häuser und Autobahnen ist. Dieses Gebiet ist arm von wilder Natur, doch gibt es kleine Plätze die beides schön und interessant sind - wie Neandertal.

Neandertal ist bekannt für den Neandertalmensch, und ich kann auch das Museum empfehlen. Es gibt doch mehr, ein Naturschutzgebiet mit schönen Wanderwegen und das Wildgehege mit Tarpanen, Auerochsen und Wisenten.  Das Naturschutzgebiet ist 223 Hektar groß und besteht aus Feldern und Wald. Durch das Tal fließt der kleine Fluss Düssel.

Wo ich am liebsten mit meinen Kameras spaziere ist im westlichen Ende. Es ist weiter weg von dem Wildgehege und Attraktionen, so es ist ruhiger. Aber auch die Natur ist mehr spannend. Das Tal ist enger und tiefer, die Sonne kommt nicht so einfach rein, und mit dem kleinen Fluss wird das Klima feucht wie in einem Regenwald.   

Since long I have been photographing the nature in Sweden. But now I am in a part of Germany that is crowded with people, houses and motorways. This area is lacking wild nature, but there are some small places to be found which are both beautiful and interesting - as in Neandertal. 

Neandertal is known for the neandertalman, and I can recommend the museum. But there are more, beautiful footpaths and corrals with eurasian wild horses, aurochs and wisents. The protected area is around 223 Hektar and consists of both fields and woods. Through the valley is the small stream Düssel flowing.

Where I like the most to walk with my cameras is in the western part. This is farther away from the corrals and the attractions, which means that is quieter. But the nature is also more fascinating. The valley is narrower and deeper, the sun cannot so easily reach, and the small stream of water gives a climate that is damp as in a rain forest.
